Last week, a few disgruntled producers were blaming Vishal, actor and Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) chief for the mess-up in the industry.  The ‘no-new releases’ policy of Vishal during the strike when he took on theatres and DSPs (digital service providers), left behind a pile of unreleased films. Category :  Cricket Sunil Gavaskar is a former cricketer played in 1970s and 1980s. He is the greatest opening  batsmen  in cricket history. Gavaskar was born on July 10, 1949 at Bombay, Bombay State, India. He is married 'Marshneill Gavaskar', his son 'Rohan Gavaskar' is also a cricket  player . Sunil was named India's Best Schoolboy Cricketer of the year in 1966. Early career Sunil made his first class debut for Vazir Sultan  Colts  XI against an XI from Dungarpur, in 1966/67, but remained in Bombay's Ranji Trophy squad for two further years without playing a match. An  alumnus  of Bombay's renown St. Xavier's College, he made his debut in the 1968/69 season against Karnataka. After missing the first Test due to an infected fingernail, he scored 61 and 67 not out in the second Test in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. Sunil also became the first Indian to make four centuries in one Test series, the second Indian after 'Vijay Hazare'

Alia Bhatt’s Raazi springs easily crosses Rs 50 crore mark

Alia Bhatt has proved her mettle at the box office in Raazi, a film totally dependent on her star-power. The film, directed by Meghna Gulzar, has refused to slow down at the box office. It has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted the film’s business figures. He says Raazi’s total collection is Rs 51.24 crore in first six days of its release. Raazi is about a Kashmiri Muslim girl who is planted as a spy in Pakistan by the Indian agencies in the backdrop of 1971 war. Based on the book Calling Sehmat by Harinder Sikka, Raazi wanted its protagonist to look vulnerable yet determined, and Alia seems perfect fit for the role. What most critics liked about the film is its human take on the India-Pakistan relationship. Unlike most of the Bollywood films on similar subjects, Raazi catches the emotional similarities between the people of both the countries.
